Jack Skellington vs The Grinch

Twas the night before Christmas in Halloweentown

Trouble was stirring, here’s how it went down

A fiend had arrived in the hours of late

Plotting to ruin the season with hate

Jack Skellington was asleep in his bed, when a noise woke him up. The sound was a bump of some kind, coming from the main room of his house. Knowing what day it was, Jack was overjoyed! He hadn’t seen Santa in nearly a year, when all that drama with oogie boogie happened.

Jack rushed down to the living room of his house to find a creature dressed like Santa, but it clearly wasn’t. It was the Grinch, and he was stealing Jack’s Christmas decorations

Jack: What’s this? I came down expecting to meet an old friend, instead I find a green burglar, stealing my Christmas joy!

The Grinch, thinking quickly, pulled up a fake beard.

Grinch: Ho Ho Ho! Aren’t you supposed to be in bed? No one can see me when I’m delivering toys!

Jack is unamused

Jack: Put back my decorations and leave, or face the wrath of the pumpkin king!

Grinch: alright, just let me ask. Need a light?

The Grinch holds up a lighter and burps into it, causing a burst of fire to shoot towards Jack. While Jack is distracted, the Grinch grabs an ornament off the tree and hurls it at Jack, knocking him back

Jack notices a large fake candy cane hung on his wall, a decoration the grinch hadn’t taken yet. He grabs the candy cane and swings it towards the Grinch, who grabs a fire poker from the fireplace to block it

Jack: Well, aren’t you a mean one?

The Grinch smiles, termites dripping from his teeth

Grinch: I get that a lot.

The grinch swings the poker at Jack’s skull

The Grinch strikes Jack in the skull, causing it to spin in place on his spine. The Grinch readies another strike, but Jack steadies his skull and blocks the blow, catching the fire poker with the bend of the candy cane

Jack: you won’t be needing this anymore!

He wrenches the poker out of the Grinch’s grasp, then swings the cane into the Grinch’s spine. The Grinch curls his body around the cane like a snake, before yanking it away from Jack, taking his skeletal arm with it. The Grinch holds Jack’s severed arm, taunting.

Grinch: Need a hand?

Jack’s severed hand taps on the Grinch’s shoulder. When the Grinch turns, the arm pokes his eyes. The Grinch stumbles back, nearly tripping over his sack of stolen decorations. The Grinch gets an idea. He grabs the sack and uses it like a weapon, swinging it into Jack, causing him to explode into bones.

The Grinch laughs to himself, before noticing that Jack’s bones are piecing themselves back together

Grinch: screw this. MAX START THE SLEIGH!

The Grinch runs to the fireplace, yanking on a rope that sends him zooming up the chimney. Jack finishes putting himself back together, then gets an idea of his own. He whistles.

Jack: Zero!

The Grinch puts his sack of stolen gifts in the back of his motorized sleigh

Grinch: alright, Max, we’ve been found out! It’s time we leave!

The Sleigh speeds away, and as the Grinch is cackling to himself, believing he’s gotten away with it, a box lands in his lap. It’s a Jack in the Box, that pops out to reveal a monstrous set of teeth that bite into the Grinch’s face.

The Grinch struggles to get the toy off his face, before looking up, seeing Jack, flying in his Skeletal reindeer pulled sleigh, preparing to throw more monstrous toys

The Grinch dodges a hail of monstrous toys, as he watches the flying sleigh above. Suddenly, he gets an idea. An awful idea. He reaches into the sack of gifts and pulls out a small candy cane. The Grinch takes out a rope and ties it around the candy cane, throwing it like a grappling hook, latching onto the side of Jack’s sleigh

Grinch: Alright Max, we’re trading in for a better ride!

The Grinch grabs Max and the sack of gifts and swings himself up onto the Sleigh, kicking Jack off his own sleigh. Jack lands in the Grinch’s motorized Sleigh, and looks up to see that he’s heading for a tree. The sleigh crashes into the tree in a firey explosion, as the Grinch flies overhead, laughing

Grinch: You see, Max, Christmas lovers are too sissy to win fights like this!

Jack That might be the case where you’re from.

The Grinch looks down to see Jack leaping up out of the flames, now in his Pumpkin King form.

Jack: but here, THIS IS HALLOWEENTOWN!

Jack Flies up and punches at the Grinch, who catches the strike and throws Jack forward. Jack lands on the skeletal reindeer. Jack throws a wave of fire at the Grinch, knocking him back. The Grinch notices his sleeve is on fire, and smiles.

The Grinch burps into the fire, causing a Burts of flame to slam into Jack. Jack, already on fire, is unfazed. That’s when Jack gets an idea. A wonderful idea. A wonderful, awful idea. He rushes forward, grabbing the Grinch, and throws a ball of fire into his mouth. Then, Jack uppercuts the Grinch into the air.

The Grinch looks to his belly, as he feels the fire reach his stomach.

Grinch: Bah Humbug.

The Grinch explodes in a blast of fire, causing singed green fur the fall from the sky like snow.

The thief had been dealt with, and the battle was through

Jack looked to the gifts and knew what he had to do

an opportunity had been given for him to set things right

As he called out “Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!”
