A-Train vs Tenya Iida

We open on a street corner. Tenya Iida has just finished apprehending a purse snatcher. He goes to give the stolen purse back to its rightful owner, a young woman

Woman: Thank you, young man, how can I ever repay you?

Iida: being a hero is its own reward, ma’am.

Woman: well, that’s very nice of yo-

Suddenly the woman is blown to pieces by an unknown force slamming into her. It’s A-Train. He stops, covered in the woman’s blood.

A-Train: Oh Shit, Not again!

He quickly shakes off the blood before zooming off into the distance. Iida, horrified, looks down at his own hand, seeing that he’s still holding the woman’s purse. His grip tightens as he chases after A-Train.

Iida: You! In the blue! Stop this instant!

A-Train rolls his eyes, before turning around to meet Iida.

A-Train: Look, kid, I don’t have time for an autograph or a picture. I’m very busy with hero stuff.

Iida: Autograph? Hero? I’m not here to praise you, but to bring you to justice!

A-Train: …… Come again?

Iida holds up the woman’s purse

Iida: you just murdered an innocent person!

A-Train: oh, that. Listen bud, Vought will deal with that. Give you a reimbursement or a gift card or some shit. I really don’t have time right now, so I gotta go.

Iida fills with rage.

Iida: there’s no way I’m letting you leave here! Except in handcuffs!

Iida fires off his engines, going for a kick, but A-Train easily dodges.

A-Train: Oh, you’re gonna play like that, huh? Alright, let’s do this!

He runs forward at blinding speed, delivering a flurry of blows to Iida, then backs out of range before he can react.

A-Train: Give it up tailpipe, you’re out of your league here.

A-Train rushes in again, delivering several more blows, before backing out again

Iida:(internally) he’s remarkably fast, but his techniques are amateur, he’s not used to fighting like this. That means he’ll probably keep attacking like this, which means…

A-Train goes for another punch, but iida catches his hand

Iida: I can predict him!

while A-Train is caught, Iida uppercuts him into the air, then revs up his engines and delivers a massive kick to A-Train’s gut

A-Train is sent flying back several feet and rolls to a stop on the ground.

A-Train: Wow, that’s a hell of a leg.

Iida goes for another kick, but A-Train dodges and gets a running start, before shoving Iida at super speed. Iida is pushed back and nearly falls over. As Iida steadies himself, A-Train rushes in and trips him over. He grabs Iida by the leg

A-Train: Let’s go for a run.

A-Train takes off into the distance, dragging Iida behind him. Iida is able to survive being dragged with his armor, but it would only be a matter of seconds before the street ground through it and would begin hurting him. Iida begins warming up his engines. Before firing them off. A burst of flame shoots out of his exhaust pipes, burning A-Train, who let’s go of Iida

While A-Train is recovering from the burns. Iida gets up, seeing that a large part of his armor is eroded away, and he’s bleeding from his forearms. He pushes through the pain, and us able to get off another kick on A-Train, sending him flying back against a nearby building.

Iida: this is over, villain! I’m taking you down!

As Iida rushes forward to throw the finishing kick, A-Train reaches into his pocket and pulls out a syringe of Compound V, and quickly shoots it into his veins. Iida kicks with all his might, only to hit the wall. A-Train is gone.

Iida: What? How can this be? I know he was fast before, but not this fa-

He’s cut off by a sudden pain in his chest, as he realizes he’s been thrown several feet backwards, and slammed into a building. Iida stands up. Trying to find A-Train

Iida: somethings changed. He’s faster, but even more reckless.

Suddenly A-Train rushes up behind Iida and strikes him in the back. Iida turns to retaliate, but A-Train is gone. Iida is struck from behind again, but as he turns to counterattack, A-Train is, once again, gone.

Iida: I didn’t want to do this, but I’m getting desperate. If he’s been attacking me from behind, that means….

Time slows. We see A-Train rushing up behind Iida, readying for another attack. Suddenly Iida’s engines begin firing off faster and hotter that before

Iida: RECIPRO BURST!

Blue flames shoot out of Iida’s tailpipes as he spins around with all his might, throwing a devastating roundhouse kick at A-Train, who is able to narrowly dodge it, though he fits severely burned by Iida’s exhaust. A-Train pushes through the pain and lands another hit on Iida, sending him flying backwards. This time, however, Iida is able to catch himself

Iida: damn it, I missed. I only have 10 seconds until my engines stall, then I’ll be a sitting duck.

1

Iida: I’ve got you now!

He takes this opportunity to throw a kick. The strongest kick he’s ever thrown. His foot collides with A-Train’s chest, caving in his ribs and sending him flying back against a building, blood splattering everywhere. His sternum and ribs were shattered and shards of bone punctured every one of hid organs

Iida feels his engines begin to give out. He’s so close, he just needs a little more time

Iida: come on! I can do this! I’ll have to go beyond! PLUS ULTRA!

Iida pushes through the pain and fires off his engines even harder. He’s pushed forward, each step cracking the asphalt beneath. The fire coming out of his tailpipes burns hotter than ever before, even melting the tailpipes themselves. Iida keeps running, though he had unimaginable pain in his legs. There’s a blast of sound as he breaks the sound barrier. With one last kick, A-Train’s head splatters against the wall

Iida stops, smoke and blood pumping out of the holes In his legs where tailpipes once were. His engines fried. He drops to his knees, and as he hears the sirens of police cars nearing closer, he puts his hands behind his head, ready to accept the consequences for what’s happened

The End
