Heimdall vs Michael

At the gates of Asgard, Heimdall stands tall, eyes closed. He takes a deep breath

Heimdall: What is your Business here?

He opens his eyes and gazes upon Michael, who flies before him with his wings of shining light

Michael: Be not afraid, noble warrior. I come on a mission of peace. My father has told me to speak to your king, and give him an offer.

Heimdall: Odin is mourning the death of his son, Baldur, and has instructed me to restrict all access to Asgard.

Michael: I do not believe you understand. There’s a war coming. A war that threatens to destroy the humans, and even Asgard itself. I was sent with an offering. If Odin will pledge his allegiance to the King of Kings, Asgard’s safety can be assured.

Heimdall: Odin knows of Ragnarök, and he has been preparing for many ages. He does not need your protection.

Michael: Immaterial. My Father gave an order, and no force on heaven or earth will stop me from carrying it out.

Heimdall raises his blade

Heimdall: Then I will be the one to prove you wrong.

Michael unsheathes his flaming sword.

Michael: An execution, then.

The two warriors clash in a flash of radiant light. They trade several attacks; each one being met perfectly by the other. Michael uses his angelic speed to circle around Heimdall at slash at his back. Heimdall, as the god of foresight, saw this coming and blocks

Heimdall: You cannot strike me. I see what you’ll do before you even know.

Michael smiles. This might be a real challenge.

Michael: How can you see the future if you can’t even see?

Michael let’s out a blast of Divine light, temporarily blinding Heimdall. Michael flies in faster than the speed of light, and slashes into Heimdall’s shoulder. Heimdall recoils from the burn, but then focuses and produces his own blast of divine light.

In the confusion, Heimdall pulls out the Gjallerhorn and blows it, causing the Einherjar to streak out of Valhalla. Michael gains his bearings and pulls out his own trumpet. With it he summons the Heavenly Host. The two armies charge

The armies clash and there’s chaos on the battle.

Michael: Raphael! Gabriel! Execute a pincer maneuver!

Heimdall: Get around their flanks! Close them in!

The generals meet again in combat. They continue fight, with Michael’s speed and Heimdall Foresight ensuring every attack is parried.

Michael: This is Amazing! I haven’t had a fight this harrowing since I cast Lucifer out!

Heimdall: Likewise, it has been many winters since I’ve faced a warrior as worthy as yourself.

Heimdall is able to get a slight advantage and pushes Michael back into the Bifrost. The two are transported to another realm. Muspelheim, the realm of fire.

Michael: Why have you taken me to Hell?

Heimdall: Actually, Hel is colder than this.

Michael pushes back into the Bifrost. The two continue battling, occasionally being transported to realm after realm, before Michael lands a stab on Heimdall and they are brought back to Asgard

Heimdall holds his wound. In his head he realizes that he’ll have to read Michael’s soul to see what he is truly capable of. He waits for Michael to get close and stares deeply into his eyes. He is horrified at what he sees

Heimdall: By Yggdrasil, what in the Nine Realms are you?

Michael Smirks

Michael: Let me show you.

Michael begins to transform, taking on his biblically accurate form. He grows bigger than a mountain, with hundreds of wings and thousands of eyes. His humanoid form is replaced by a large central eye, surrounded by dozens of rings, which are also covered in eyes. All the eyes focus on Heimdall, and Michael speaks with a voice that shakes the World tree itself

Biblically Accurate Michael: BÊ ÁFŘÄÎĐ, BĘ VËŔÝ, VĖŘÝ ÄFŔĂÏĐ

The Einherjar and Angels alike flee In terror. Michael descends upon Asgard at an unimaginable speed

As the Eldritch monster form of Michael bolted towards him, Heimdall dove into the cracked Bifrost, and disappeared in an explosion of light. When he regained his vision, he looked around, seeing that he’s standing on a branch of Yggdrasil the World tree.

Heimdall: Where is he?

He used his foresight. A moment later, a tear opened in reality, and Michael’s true form emerged

Michael: HÉÍMĎÄĹĽ ØF ŤHĚ ÑÎŅÈ MÕȚHĒŔ§, ÝÕŪŔ ŘĘŤŘÌBŲŢİŌÑ ÍŞ ÄŤ HĀÑĐ

Michael shoots thousands of light beams from his thousands of eyes, all focused on Heimdall. As the light blasted into him, Heimdall focused. He had foreseen this. He would show this being why they called him “the shining god”

Heimdall absorbed the light attacks and leapt towards Michael. Using his sword and the power of the light, he cut through the golden rings surrounding Michael and stabbed him in his large central eye. Michael let out a howl of agony that caused all nine Realms to shake.

Heimdall was blasted backwards into the trunk of the tree, as Michael reverted to his humanoid form, though it was severely scarred and had a stab wound in one eye

Michael: I grow tired of this scuffle. Come at me with all the might of your Asgard, and I will answer tenfold with the might of Heaven.

Heimdall: Alright. Here is the best I’ve got.

Heimdall summons the power of Asgard to himself and shoots forward, glowing with Divine energy. Michael, likewise, fills himself with the light of Heaven and dashes forward. The two collide, causing an explosion of light so powerful, It outshines all the Nine Realms.

inside the explosion of light, the two warriors are pushing against the others sword.

Heimdall: For the Glory of Asgard!

Michael: Deus Vult!

Michael’s flaming blade burns hotter, becoming white, then blue. Its intense heat begins melting through Heimdall’s sword. Heimdall knows what’s about to happen, but also knows he can’t stop it. Heimdall’s sword breaks in half, and Michael plunges his flaming blade into Heimdall’s chest. With one last burst of heat, Heimdall is nothing more than ashes.

Michael: Rest easy, Heimdall Odinson. Your only fault was that you pledged yourself to the wrong God. But worry not, I will ensure your father answers for what he’s done.

Back in Asgard, Odin is sitting at a table when the doors suddenly burst open. It’s Michael. He throws the still smoking remains of Heimdall’s sword onto the ground.

Michael: Odin. We have much to discuss.

The End
