The Courier vs The Mandalorian

We open in the Mojave Desert. The sun is high in the sky, beating down on the landscape with searing heat. The Courier is walking towards a small, mostly destroyed ghost town when he hears a noise above him. The Razor Crest, Mando’s spaceship flies overhead and lands about 20 feet behind the Courier, who turns to face the spacecraft.

The Crest’s door opens and The Mandalorian steps out, stabbing his Beskar spear into the ground next to him.

Mando: Are you the one they call Courier?

Courier: Depends on who’s asking.

Mando: Someone has put out a bounty on you, and I’m here to collect.

Courier: is that right? And how exactly do you plan on doing that?

Mando: two options, I can bring you in warm, or I can bring you in cold.

The Courier draws his revolver and fires, aiming right for the center of Mando’s forehead. The bullet harmlessly bounces off.

Mando: cold it is.

He draws his blaster and fires, narrowly missing the courier who jumps behind a boulder for cover. The two fire at each other for a moment, Courier’s bullets bouncing harmlessly off Mando’s armor, and Mando’s blasts hitting the side of the Boulder.

The Courier runs out if ammo and ducks down to reload. Mando takes the opportunity to close the distance, running for the boulder. As he nears the boulder, the courier darts up, holding a shotgun, and blasts Mando in the face.

The shotgun blast hits Mando like a punch, causing him to stumble back. The Courier keeps firing, each shot pushing Mando back further. The Courier reaches out for one last point blank shot, but Mando reaches out and grabs the shotgun, wrenching it from the Courier’s grip.

Mando pulls out his vibro knife and stabs the Courier in the shoulder. The Courier grunts from the pain, but pulls out the Ripper, a chainsaw-like knife, and retaliates with a slash. The two have a brief knife fight, before the Courier slashes across the vibro knifes handle, causing it to fall apart.

The Courier slashes at Mando and kicks him in the chest, pushing him back again, but this time, Mando backs up against his Beskar spear. Mando grabs the Beskar spear and whacks the Ripper out of the Couriers hand, before stabbing the Courier several times in the gut.

The Courier steps back and begins running away from Mando, holding his gut and taking several hits of Jet. He makes it to an old, cabling building and rushes inside, Mando following behind.

Mando: You’re making this harder than it has to be. I’m still willing to let you live if you cooperate.

Inside the building, the Courier is injecting a Stimpak and sarcastically replies

Courier: Yeah right. I don’t negotiate with lunatics that are after my neck.

then the Courier hears something. He turns to see a feral ghoul running towards him.

Courier: I could, however, use some help of my own.

outside, Mando hears sounds of a struggle, before the feral ghoul comes running out of the building towards him. Mando instinctively impaled it through the chest with his spear. The ghoul lifts its head to reveal a grenade stuck in its mouth.

Mando: Dank Farrik

The ghoul explodes, sending Mando flying backwards.

Mando crashes back into a rusted, broken down car. He’s fine, but his armor is sizzling from the explosion. As he struggles to his feet, he hears loud, mechanical stomps. He looks up to see The Courier, now wearing full power armor, holding Oh Baby, a heavily modified, rocket boosted sledgehammer. The Courier rakes a hit of Psycho and roars with adrenaline.

Courier: BRING IT!

Mando pulls out the Darksaber and lunges forward, striking at the Courier. The power armor is thick enough that one quick slash doesn’t slice clean through, but it does leave a steaming, melted gash in the armor. The Courier rears back and slams the Hammer down onto Mando’s helmet, causing a gong like sound to ring out.

They continue their fight, slashing and slamming into each other with their weapons. The Courier’s power armor is falling apart from the many searing slashes, and Mando’s armor is heavily dented from the repeated Impacts.

Eventually, the Courier gets one good hit onto Mando’s hand, causing the Darksaber to go flying a few feet away. As the Courier rushes in for the killing blow, Mando holds him back with his wrist mounted flamethrower. The Courier stumbles back, trying to escape the heat. Mando Fires off his whistling birds, that fly through the air and pelt the Courier in several places, breaking off pieces of power armor and causing him to drop his sledgehammer.

when the smoke clears, Mando, now holding the darksaber, rushes in and delivers a powerful slash to The Courier’s chest, splitting the last piece of power armor and leaving a steaming gash in the Courier’s chest.

Courier: You’re not going to kill an unarmed man, are you?

Mando: I gave you a chance to come peacefully. This is the Way.

As Mando goes for one last slash to kill the Courier, the Courier uses a Stealth Boy to go invisible, avoiding Mando’s strike. The Courier’s voice rings out through the hot desert landscape.

Courier: I honestly should have seen that coming, you being a bounty hunter and all. A certain level of brutality will always be there, no matter what nation or what planet you come from. I guess what I’m trying to say is…

The Courier suddenly appears, 30 feet away, arm beside his holster, ready to draw.

Courier: War never changes.

Mando, seeing what’s happening, extinguishes the Darksaber and prepares to draw his own blaster. The two lone wanderers lock gazes through their helmets. A lone Tumbleweed passes by…. and they Draw.

Mando aims for the Courier’s shoulder, but the Courier dodges, while using V.A.T.S. to find a gap between Mando’s Beskar and fires, shooting right into Mando’s shooting hand, causing him to drop his blaster and fall to his knees. Mando drops his head, accepting defeat. The Courier pulls out the Fat Man and launches a mininuke at Mando, causing a massive explosion that rings out over the wasteland.

When the dust clears, all that’s left of Mando is his dented helmet, it’s visor shattered. The Courier walks over to the helmet, kicks some dirt onto it, then leaves a Nuka Cola sitting next to the helmet as he wanders off into the New California Wasteland
